About the Perennial Culture category

Perennial agriculture offers a different path of food production. How will it come into the world? Should crops like Kernza® be implemented in our existing food system? Or should new (or old) paths be taken?

What’s the philosophy of perennial agriculture? The economy of it? The culture of it?

I’m so excited about the carbon sequestration potential of perennial grains. Especially in places where carbon stocks have been severely depleted by erosion and intensive agriculture. Do you work with academic partners to study long-term changes in soil carbon on your farms? And do you think perennial-based agriculture might be more resistant to climate disturbances than our current system?
